The service

Ride Tempo is a free indoor cycling app for smart trainers, made by an independent developer. It runs in your browser, as a desktop app and as an Android app, with an optional account and an optional connector for AI assistants. By using it you agree to these terms. Last updated 13 October 2026.

Training and health

Indoor training is strenuous. You ride at your own risk. Check with a doctor if you have any health concerns, and stop if you feel unwell. Targets, FTP estimates, zone levels and anything an AI assistant says about your training are guides, not medical or coaching advice.

Your equipment

Ride Tempo controls your trainer's resistance. Set up your trainer and bike as their makers describe, and keep the area around them clear. Ride Tempo never changes trainer firmware or calibration.

Your data

Your rides and settings are yours. The privacy notice says what is stored where and when anything leaves your device. You can download your rides as FIT files and delete your account data at any time in Data and privacy.

AI assistants

If you connect ChatGPT, Claude or another assistant, it can read the training in your account and add workouts it makes for you. It can't change or delete anything. What it says is produced by that assistant, not by Ride Tempo, and its use of your data is covered by its own terms and privacy policy. You can disconnect it at any time in You › AI assistants.

Shared workouts

A workout you share can be opened, ridden and kept by any signed-in rider with the link. Only share workouts you are happy for others to use.

Roadmap suggestions

Suggestions are public. Keep them about Ride Tempo, and leave out personal details. Suggestions that are off topic or unkind may be hidden.

Fair use

Don't misuse the service: no attempts to reach other riders' data, overload the servers or get around limits, and no copying or reusing the app's code. Accounts that do may be closed.

No warranty

Ride Tempo is provided as it is, free of charge, without any warranty. Features may change or stop. As far as the law allows, Ride Tempo and its developer are not liable for any loss or injury arising from its use. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.

Trademarks

Ride Tempo is independent and not affiliated with Wahoo Fitness, Zwift, Garmin, Strava, intervals.icu, OpenAI, Anthropic or any trainer maker. Their names are used only to describe compatibility.
